Beyond the Moon is home to six self-catering cottages, each one as individual and out of this world as can be. A maximum of 34 guests can be accommodated.
Like something out of a fairy tale, River Sanctuary is tucked away into a small forest clearing beside a crystal mountain stream. There are two bedrooms; the main with a double bed and a second bedroom with a bunk bed, suitable for children. There is another single bed in a lounge nook that doubles as a sunny reading spot. A lovely feature is the natural open shower next to the river and overlooking the forest, with only birds and the little vervet monkeys for company.
Spacious, bright and airy, this romantic cottage is set in a forest clearing and has one bedroom with a double bed. There is a day bed and a double sleeper couch in the lounge, suitable for extra guests. The bathroom looks out over the verdant forest, and is also accessible from the verandah.
One of the more spacious cottages, Froggy Lodge has two bedrooms, one with a queen-sized bed and the other with a queen-sized bed and double-bunk bed, which is suitable for children. There is also a single bed in the gracious living room. A fully-equipped, self-catering kitchen completes the set up.
With crisp, fresh décor, Loerie Cottage is spacious and inviting, looking out over the charming pond and surrounding forests. Loerie has four bedrooms: one with queen-sized bed, another with twin beds, the third is en-suite (shower and bath) with a queen size bed. The fourth bedroom has a double-bunk bed, suitable for children. The main bathroom has an open shower.
A cosy semi-detached, next door to Francolin Cottage, Kestrel also has lovely views of the surrounding indigenous forest and the welcoming Outeniqua Mountains. The main bedroom has a double bed, and the second bedroom has a double bunk, suitable for children.
With sprawling lawns and beautiful, tranquil surrounds, Beyond the Moon is the ideal setting for virtually any event, large and proud, or small and intimate.
Our rustic indoor/outdoor function room comfortably accommodates 120 people seated at tables or 300 people in theatre-style seating. Bathroom facilities include four toilets and one urinal. A fully-licenced on-site bar is available. The expansive lawns provide the ideal setting for the erection of marquees and Bedouin tents, if required.

A 40–minute hike on one of our private hiking trails takes you to a beautiful waterfall in the mountains with crystal cool water, fresh from the ancient Outeniquas.
Beyond the Moon shares its space with a working farm with sheep and miniature horses.
Little ones are welcome to bring their favourite treats like carrots and apples to feed them.
Beyond the Moon is situated in the center of all the Garden Route mountain bike routes and all the trail run routes, making it an ideal base for those wanting to experience these outdoor activities.
Wilderness offers a host of outdoor activities like paddling, paragliding, hiking and swimming.En route to Plett, there is a Wolf Sanctuary, Eagle Sanctuary, Snake Park and Water World.
At the Crags (just beyond Plett) there’s Birds of Eden, Monkeyland and Jukania (a Wild Cat Sanctuary). Numerous water activities are available locally – water skiing, sailing, canoeing, wind surfing, snorkelling, fishing and whale watching
