The owners were looking for a venue for a wedding when they stumbled upon Beyond the Moon. It was love at first sight. When they heard that the place was on the market, the die was cast.
The property was purchased and since then has been lovingly restored and renovated to its present enchanting condition. Each cottage has been given a magical make-over to underscore its best qualities. Some of the surrounding farmlands have been tidied and restored to accommodate sheep and miniature horses.

Meet baby ANNIE, the first foal born into our miniature horse herd. She was born on the 5th of October 2017, and we are so proud of our new little girl and her mom.
Growing Beyond the Moon into its full potential
A kiddies playground is under construction and long-term plans include becoming totally self-sufficient and off the grid – so please watch this space!

The surrounding mountains and forests are ideal for hikers of varying levels of fitness and experience. A 40–minute hike on one of our private hiking trails takes you to a beautiful waterfall in the mountains with crystal cool water, fresh from the ancient Outeniquas.
